The Memofish project results were presented


The partner organisations in project „Memofish. Memory and future. Stories about the Danube Civilization“ gathered in Silistra, in order to present the results from the project's execution.

Dr. Diana Bebenova, chair of Association „Paralel - Silistra“, talked about the strategic document „Culture matters!“ and about the contribution of young people in coming up with ideas for cross-border cultural cooperation.

The Director of the Ruse Regional Museum of History - Prof. Dr. Nikolay Nenov talked about the results of the unique audio-visual study of the cultural heritage, which the modern people would receive from the Danube's fisheries communities from Romania and Bulgaria.

Viorel Ghita, manager of Association "Access" - Calarasi, talked about how the facts from the study and the ideas from the strategic documents can be used for the creation of modern tourist products.

Project „Memofish“ is implemented by a consortium, with Bulgarian-Romanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry being the lead partner, while the other project partners are Association „Paralel - Silistra“, the Ruse Regional Museum of History, Association „Access“ and the Fisheries Local Action Group Association from Calarasi. The project is implemented with the financial aid of the Interreg V-A Romania–Bulgaria Programme.

Project “MEMOFISH - memory and future. Stories about the Danube Civilization” is cofinanced by the European Union through European Regional Development Fund under the Interreg V-A Romania-BulgariaProgramme.
