More than 500 cruise ships

More than 500 cruise ships are expected to visit Ruse during the upcoming tourist season. The first passenger ship was ‘Viking Lif’, saling under the Swiss flag, with more than 100 American tourists on board. The municipal unit ‘Tourism’ in Ruse welcomed the first passengers with a leaflet with the slogan ‘Enjoy every minute in Ruse!’, which provides information for the tourist sites that can be visited.

‘Despite the challenges in this sector, tour operators assert that timetables for the season are available and for the moment cruises to Ruse and Giurgiu are planned. The decision whether to travel to the Danube’s delta will be made according to the current situation’, explains the Municipality of Ruse.

The cruise tourism provides the biggest flow of foreign tourists, which pass through Ruse and establish the city as a tourist destination at national and international level.
