Fishing stories, routes and preserved heritage

The preserved heritage of the Danube fishing communities from Bulgaria and Romania, meeting their traditions and culture, options for traveling with the family, friends or in a group of youths, were part of the presentations at the thematic „Danube routes“ stand, which Bulgarian-Romanian Chamber built during the autumn edition of the International Tourist Exhibition in Bucharest's exhibition center – Romexpo.

The Chamber was among 230 exhibitors from 16 countries, which participated at the forum. Visitors could choose from hundreds of travel offers for Christmas and New Year, vacations on the Romanian or Bulgarian Black Sea, summer tourist packages to near or far destinations, seeing traditional rituals from different countries and discovering new routes.

The Chamber's team introduced 15 options for traveling in the cross-border Bulgarian-Romanian region, played the movies created within project „Memofish. Memories and future. Stories about the Danube civilization“, met with representatives of tourist agencies from Romania and Bulgaria, as well as with hundreds of people, which shared their personal fishing stories.
